Car statues “Carhenge” is one of those bucket list things that is fascinating to stare at. The fact that someone Easter-Islanded these old cars into the dirt, and stacked another on top is just fun. Painted with primer, they rise high above your head and a very tall person can walk under the cars. I watched my kids run in circles around them, with the same look on their faces that I had…why? It was built as a memorial by an engineer to his dad. Good thing he did; he created not just car statues, but works of art out of metal. I’m happy I got to see them.
Have you ever seen car statues mounted into the sky? Carhenge is in Alliance, Nebraska, off Hwy 87. And check out the history on this place.
