The weather dipped from 90 to 75 this week, so I’m gonna go ahead and call it. It is officially the beginning of Fall now, and it feels about time. Time to do all the things like shop for the warm, cute cozy stuff, throw on your booties and head to the pumpkin patch (soon!). I’m turning on Stranger Things Season 2 to get in my Kentucky/Indiana/Illinois fall groove and think about how this lovely time of the year can only last a month or so before Winter kicks in.
I’m excited about a weekend trip to the other side of the state to visit the Appalachian Mountains. Like so many people, I’ve always wanted to go and see the leaves change. The leaf change is dependent on a sudden temperate drop, so I’m doing my best to hold out until the weather suddenly turns. My son’s birthday is in two weeks so maybe the leaves would change by then. We hunted online for a cool passenger train ride that would help make it an amazing birthday weekend for him.
Here’s hoping the weather is gorgeous and the leaves are pretty! Happy Fall!
